Snowboarding!

Last I wrote it was my last week of winter break, but now I've started a new semester of school and it's already February! Can't believe how fast that went by! Well my big adenture of January was snowboarding! Yes my first time ever! So on Saturday Jan. 26th my dad, Cassie and myself went up early to snoqualmi pass so I could get there in time to get my rentals, lift ticket and take a lesson. Shauna, Kurt and Nicky were comming up later to meet us. So I took my lesson, which I was absolutly HORRIBLE at! I kept falling and doing the splits and stuff and I was totally behind the rest of my group and I kept running/hitting other people!!!, (it was actually pretty pathetic!) but thankfully my dad was there to come pick me up when I fell...more times than I can count! After almost 2 hours of me only learning how to turn 2 different ways with only ONE foot in my lesson was over! This whole time the others hadn't shown up so Cassie was just watching cuz she didn't wan to go up by herself. So I decided to go up the lift with her. (I've come to find out that I am really terrible at getting off the ski lifts:[ haha.) So it's my 1st time on a lift, going down a mountain and putting two feet in the board on this run with Cassie. But I picked it up and did considerably well my first time! The rest of my friends showed up and we had so much fun! My best run down the hill was only falling twice:D yay! But i ended up getting really tired before everyone else because that lesson killed me so it was hard to pull myself up! So that was my super fun snowboarding experience!(and I'm still recovering from the soreness :] haha) Anyway so now this semester I'm in art instead of yoga which is really fun and relaxing (we started by drawing popcorn and peanuts! haha). Anyway this month has been great, besides the passing of President Gordon B Hinckley, which isn't as sad because as Tawnya Burton said as I heard the news, "He's probably up there giving Marjorie a big sloppy kiss" :Dhaha. But we will miss him. I hope this month will be equally as wonderful for everyone:]

Last Week of Break

Well this week was a good start to 2008. I celebrated the new year with Cassie and we were going to throw a party but everyone seemed to have plans so it was just us(and don't underestimate how entertained we keep each other!). Then Caitlyn joined us and we went "party hopping" and just messed around which was fun. And as the clock struck 12 we set off fireworks, poppers, blowers, sparklers and cameras:D haha. Then wednesday we had a homework/ monopoly party at Henry's house. That was fun!(and did you know you can order a "white gummy bear" jamba juice!! it's good try it! even though it's not on the menu). Oh and the monopoly game was intense! Henderson, Henry, Brad, Shauna, Cassie and I were quite the players! Then Thursday I wanted to go ice skating all winter so Cassie, Trevor, Henry, and I went! It was so fun! (That's us in the picture on the ice:D) There was hardly anyone there because we went in the morning but it was really fun (even if the 6 year old girl was passing us up with her jumps and spins!). Then Friday I got together with some LDS girls to go out to eat. It's becoming a tradition because after girls camp us YCLs were craving olive garden bread sticks. so in the summer me, Megan, Suzie, Jenny, Aisha, Katie and Brittany went to olive garden and it was a blast. So on Friday we went again, but this time it was me , Megan, Brittany, Emily, Annie, and Aleena. That was so fun (and Aleena was crushing on the other waiter named Marcello! haha so our waitress told him it was hilarious!). So basically those are the fun things I did this week. Tomorrow I have to go back to school :[ but I think I'll survive! (maybe:] haha) And I hope you're all doing well! Happy New Year!
